      Johanna Parker's compelling narration successfully launches Adams's mystery series into audio. Sensible Jane Steward is the manager of her family's literary-inspired resort, Storyton Hall. Their "Murder and Mayhem Week" would have been a win-win were it not for a guest actually being murdered. The voices assigned to Jane, her playful twin sons, and librarian Sinclair blend well as they work to keep the guests happy while surreptitiously solving the murder. Guests playing the roles of Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, and Miss Marple will bring out the Nancy Drew in all of us. Though the older female characters sound too similar, Parker's voice for Jane's cantankerous Aunt Octavia is delightful. True to the mystery form, Parker keeps a lively pace throughout.
